30 members were in attendance at the Perrysville Draft House meeting. It was a cool, sunny day, but in mid 40s later in the day. Congratulations to David Donley, Leo Stanton and Joe Burns who were the only hardy souls who rode to the meeting.
New members James Gravante joined last week and Mark Frumkin joined at the meeting.

MOA Getaways are hotel/resort based events for those who enjoy riding to faraway places but don't camp. Some call these events rallies, but with crowds of less than 100 and a sense of exploration, this isn't the traditional motorcycle rally. MOA honchos do the legwork of getting the dinners set up and negotiate room discounts. All you have to do is show up, ride great roads, visit with old friends and meet new ones! Full List of all 2020 MOA Getaway locations, dates & reservations here. Brochure HERE.
The BMW Motorcycles of Pittsburgh shop is being sold. The sale should close this week with Mosites Motorsports in North Versailles. Mosites is a large dealer with a variety of manufacturers and all types of motorcycles including: CanAm, Ducati, Honda, KTM, Kawasaki, Motus, Mahindra (ATV), Ski Doo, Sea Doo, Spyder and Triumph.
I visited the Mosites shop and spoke to them about support of our Rally a couple of years ago. It’s a big shop. They have had Ducati for some time. For several years, they have tried to get the BMW franchise for the south in Pittsburgh. Now they will have it for the entire Pittsburgh area.
Mosites is outfitting a new building in North Versailles, at the current Motorsports location. It will be a BMW, Triumph and Ducati shop and will open about March, 2020. In the meantime, BMW parts and service in Pittsburgh is on hold. You may be able to order parts from Mosites in the meantime.
I know this is not all you want to know. However, when the deal is closed, later this week, I will get more information. There will also be a Press Release from Mosites with further details.
During the BMW shop transition, Kissell Motorsports in Tyrone, PA can handle any BMW parts, service or sales. -- John H.
I want to thank everyone who came to our house on Saturday for the October meeting. It was a cool start, but sunny and nice for riding. We had a good group of motorcycles show up.
Jack Bramkamp was a jacket collector and he brought them to the meeting offering them for free to anyone who wanted to give them a good home. I got a Gerbing heated jacket. Every jacket was taken by club members. Thanks, Jack! He also did the cooking on our grill.
The October meeting is where we vote on candidates for club officers ... Cont'd. Here
As far as I was concerned, the BMW RA National in Woodstock was perfect. Nice weather, cool temps most of the day, no rain, slightly overcast. …And the roads… Wow!
Dunlop was a major sponsor of the RA and had very special prices on the RoadSmart III tires. So, I purchased front and rear tires from Kissel Motorsports who mounted them at the Rally.
The difference was night and day! The twisty roads around Woodstock were . . . Contd.HERE
