Gremlins have struck the GS! Need ideas. This started late last year when the bike wouldn't start. I thought it was the battery because it was old. Got a new one and the problem returned immediately. When I would remove the seat, it would start, so I soldiered on. Well, nothing gets better by itself. Now, it needs to have the charger on it to start...as soon as I turn the key in the ignition, the power complete cuts out....not even a crank or the starter. I've tried calling and leaving messages for BMW PGH but can't get a hold of anyone and no one has return the call. They are still in business, aren't they?

I'm not an electrician but if the instructions are clear and the tools not too expensive, I'll give it a try. Any ideas?

Holly,

I sounds like it might be the HES.

Brittle wiring.

Jury still out in MHO but Kissell is delivering the bike this morning. Claiming it was a long bolt on the battery terminal?! They say they've let it sit and now starts every time. Glad to have the old girl coming home. Having only a 200 Vespa is a sad state of affairs. I'm still going to "look" LOL at the 2019 factory lowered R1250GS tomorrow. Ya never know!

Not today. Too cold for a test ride. Kicked the can down the road to next Friday.
