Was suggested i try a twin max carb balancing tool for the fine tune balance on my 1983 R100rt. Anyone willing to give me a hands-on run thru in person? Very intrigued as to any change, was last balanced in late summer( jul/aug) and was told that the twin max fine tunes the standard mercury(or todays equivalent) stick. I live in monroeville and willing to come to you.
Thank you for any assistance. I Can be reached at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

There's nothing special about balancing with a twin max as opposed to other balancing tools. You just center a needle instead of matching heights of mercury columns. However, balancing should be the last step in a full tune up. Trying to balance your carbs when your valves are out of adjustment or your timing is off is a waste of time, and will probably make things worse.

There's lots of information on this online. For more than you ever wanted to know look here: bmwmotorcycletech.info/synchcarbs.htm
