so as some of you know my bike has been down this past year for several reasons. one of them actually mechanical. I have finally gotten my tranny rebuild finished(thx to those that helped), clutch, rear main and carbs rebuilt (incl new throttle shaft for both) and sorted. All has been finally reinstalled where they belong. Got bike fired and carbs balanced(motion-pro stick) and idling. To high(12-1300) , but cant seem to get it any lower without engine being unhappy. We come now to where I need assistance. I find it exceedingly difficult to look in hole for timing as I have no lift and just cant see well enough into that little damn hole! sorry, had a moment, lol. Is there anyone that might be willing to come and time this machine for me. Thx for any assistance that can be provided. Oh, its an 83 R100RT

Got the bike timed and running. Still to Harley like(vibration) in the way it runs. Should be much smoother at start and higher rpm. I am assuming that it's carb related as timing is correct and carbs are vacuum balanced( used a stick). Any final tweaks or settings are greatly appreciated. I am in monroeville if anyone is close. Since the bike runs I can go to someone as well. Probably better that way as it will be hot upon arrival. Thank you once again and ride safe

Has anyone suggested Craig Immel to you? All I know is that he is a former dealer and mechanic/guru who still does a little work occasionally on the older bikes. Not new generations. He's in the southeast of Pgh.
