Didn't know Bob Evans was clothed...I always thought he ran around the farm nekkid...
 Just kidding. I did hear the place was closed via the Pittsburgh Scooter Club which also used that Bob Evans for their monthly breakfasts. The scooter club now meets across the street at the Central Diner and Grille, but it doesn't appear that our BMW club has come up with a new spot yet, since BE's closing for refurbishment. Some years ago we used to meet at the Eat 'n Park catty-corner across 60 from where Bob Evans is located. Might again be a good place for the West B-Ride. As I remember they have a pretty decent breakfast buffet there. Board? Whatcha think??? |

This was discussed at the board meeting and the regular meeting. The general consensus was that the South, East, and West breakfast and rides are rarely attended anymore. We have had a few potential new members show up for some of these and there wasn't any members there. We want to avoid this happening any more, so we decided as a club to remove these from the calendar for now until we get confirmation that people are going to attend. This may also free up some time to maybe add in another North breakfast later in the month. Anybody who wants to meet and have a bite to eat or go riding somewhere can just post something on the forum and we can add it to the calendar as soon as we get conformation that people are going.

Another possible board mistake--not quite as bad in terms of member harm and disgruntlement as the chinchy prizes for the hunt for historical markers based on the false premise that only a few people participated--definitely a sure way to kill the activity if that's what the board was after (the opinion of several members)... ....While the South B-Ride has been moribund for years and years, and the East for but a couple of years, the West has not, and, had anyone noticed, there have been several times the West Breakfast Ride was attended by several members [4-8] in the very recent past. However, when the Bob Evans on Rte 60 closed for repairs/refurbishment, nothing seems to have been done about choosing another place (like the former West B-Ride location, the Eat 'n Park just across from the Bob Evans). So now, no hunt-fors, and all but 1 B-Ride closed down??? ......How many more regular activities can we cause to disappear and still have a club? Makes a feller wonder, so it does....
