Thanks John and Ralph for the well wishes! They are much appreciated and welcomed!! Sent Kim and the kids north this morning to a friends house in Tallahassee. They arrived there and are safe. I decided to stay, I figure if I can minimize any damage even a little??!! We will see what Mathew brings ... it's going to get nasty! I figure another 6 hours before the edge starts to hit here and then the fun begins.

I sure hope you're in some place solid if you didn't head out with Kim and the kids. A class 4 hurricane is nothing to fool with. It can level houses, both wood and concrete. I hope you're far enough inland that some of the force is ameliorated. Reports here have 140 mph winds. That sends all kinds of stuff flying that one doesn't want to be anywhere near! Take care!!!
