TOPIC: Rare and unique BMW cruiser for sale

My 2002 R1200C is up for sale. It only has 22K miles and is in excellent condition. I love this bike and am only selling it because I'm just too big for it and I can't stretch out on long rides. Serious inquiries only.

The Craigslist link does the trick. Beautiful, and they are indeed rare.

Could you bring it to the Starlight Cruise in Wexford tonight and/or our rally next weekend in New Bethlehem? Both listed on our homepage. Hang a sign on it -- lots of target market eyeballs both places!

It would be nicer if it had normal handlebars instead of the ape hangers. It would be a good bike for long distance riding but for that. Since the cruisers did come with normal bars, I would suppose the owner still has the normal ones and could either include them with the bike, or, better yet, put them on and get rid of the ape hangers--maybe sell them to someone who only wants to ride from his home to the grocery store and back.

I emailed him about the handle bars because I had the same thoughts. Here was his reply:

"I believe they are the stock bars on this Montana model and, yes, I turned them up higher to adjust for my height and long arms. They look a bit like ape hangers but are only shoulder height on me. Ha!

I believe I kept the original service records from the first owner. I'll have to dig around to be sure. All service has been done by local, factory authorized dealers. "


After comparing it to some stock pictures, he might be right.. Look at the angle of the bars.
