TOPIC: Dee Thompson - Massage/Cake/Cookie Lady

Our club's friend in New Bethlehem, Dee Thompson, very unexpectedly passed away on New Year's Day. She had mobility issues that prevented her from coming to our rally the last several years, but she always wanted to hear how it went and even purchased items from our rally vendors (young military vets) from home by phone to use as Christmas gifts. She would contact me when she had ideas for a speaker or local activity for our rally. She was an RN and a licensed massage therapist who really enjoyed visiting with people and giving massages at our rallies.. Her many life experiences were interesting and surprisingly varied. She was a talented baker - especially creative, intricately decorated wedding and special occasion cakes. She was knowledgeable, funny, gregarious, patriotic, resourceful, and a loyal friend. She brought her grandaughter to the rally several times who was thrilled with rides in Harry's sidecar.
