Who has recent purchased Rukka gear? Thoughts? Since KLIM pooped out by being terminally backordered, I need to find a good all-round waterproof pants/jacket. Prefer the "adventure" style (lots of pockets, longer length jacket) My old Olympia jacket and pants are both are starting to fall apart. They will not make it thru this riding season.

Diane, you are the resident knowledge base...your opinion?

Go to the Revzilla site and watch their product videos.
If what you add doesn't make you better, your carrying dead weight.

My older Airpower mesh Rukka with separate waterproof liner (lightly insulated with Outlast phase-change, air-inflatable for warmth) with flexible open waffle armour is very soft and flexible but heavy. I haven't been looking lately. Got a men's BMW high viz Air Shell jacket on sale at the Buffalo MOA rally. I'ts lighter weight and cooler with separate waterproof liner. Bought it larger - needed more space to layer under. I prefer to put a rain coat on top whenever possible to keep everything dry instead of letting the whole outer jacket (and pocket contents) get soaked and just relying on the inner waterproof layer to keep dry. I do like my old waterproof Aerostitch Darien zip off pants though. They usually are cool enough even in very hot weather and quite waterproof.

Two methods to choose from: Fully laminated waterproof exterior or a separate inner waterproof liner that allows outer piece to be wet. Just read all over the web. RevZilla does have good videos. WebBikeWorld has good real-person reviews.
The MOA national with vendors is only a few weeks away and lots people to watch/ask. Maybe REV’IT, Alpinstars, Triumph? Or look under every rock and be patient until you can find KLIM. Depending how old - maybe find what you want used in classifieds? Women's fit limits our choices, but sure makes a difference. Good luck and keep us posted on what you learn.

I tried to insert a bunch of links, but it's not letting me, so I'll email them to you.

Knew I could count on you, Diane! You have done more research on all stuff motorcycling than anyone else I know! I'll be looking for you links. As much as liked the KLIM, they tell me next February will be the new model year and I can't wait that long for riding gear. That was a big disappointment. With the MOA just around the corner, I'll probably wait to see what I can find there.
