PA has cancelled completely the PA Motorcycle Safety Program for 2020 where I was a certified instructor. Now motorcycle deaths will be increasing. What's bizarre is that the program is mandated and funded under law. Wonder what will happen to the $$$? Wonder who's going to cover the lives injured and lost due to accidents? Guess PA doesn't care about that.

Sorry to hear this. I was an instructor for 7 years. I always felt the funding from MC license surcharge was not sustainable. Now that covid has reduced PA state revenue cuts are inevitable. I wonder if the surcharge will still be taken and just lumped into the general state funds. Kudos to you and others who have spent valuable riding time to help new riders start on the right path.

Some DMV locations have opened. But I have been unsuccessful in determining if a person can even take the traditional MC test?

You are probably right about the financial condition of the Commonwealth and impact on the program. So sad. Every day, I'm reading/hearing about motorcycle deaths near me and just wonder, could we have done something. Not to mention keeping our motorcycling alive.

Yes, the DMV is giving tests and for those under 16 who are mandated to take training, I understand that there's something online but honestly, how good can that be?
