MOTORCYCLE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The National MS Society, Western Pennsylvania Chapter is in need of motorcycle volunteers for route support for the 2014 Bike MS: Escape to the Lake event. Motorcycle Volunteers help to create a safe environment for the Chapter’s Bike MS Charity Bicycle Rides. Motorcycle Volunteers are a vital part of the Bike MS Ride experience. The National MS Society utilizes the increased mobility of motorcycle riders to supply support at major traffic intersections. Bike MS Motorcycle Volunteers offer assistance at road intersections, monitor traffic and increase the overall safety of the Bike MS Rides. Motorcyclists are accustomed to the dangers cyclist face while riding and that is why we value the assistance of Motorcycle Clubs for Bike MS Rides.
This is the 29th year of the Bike MS: Escape to the Lake and is one of the largest charity bicycle rides in Western Pennsylvania. The year’s Bike MS: Escape to the Lake event is on June 7 – 8, 2014. The event starts in Zelienople, PA. The overnight location for the ride is in Meadville, PA at Allegheny College and finishes in Conneaut, OH on Sunday.
Motorcycle volunteers are needed for both days of the event. Volunteers can sign up to assist for 1 or 2 days. Overnight accommodations at Allegheny College and meals are provided for volunteers. Thank you for your time and consideration. Please contact the Motorcycle Coordinator or the Bike MS Coordinator to confirm participation or with questions.
