Does anyone have experience with Flash2Pass? Or other transmitter garage door openers? Will it work with the canbus system?

Hi Holly. I had the Flash2Pass on my 05R12GS and it worked really well until I upgraded the garage door opener. (No issues with it and the canbus for me) Went from a basic no-frills Chamberlain opener to one of their top of the line models with digital display, temp sensor, and fancy opener light controls on the door button. Tried swapping out the door button for the F2P button and it didn't work. Even contacted the F2P tech folks and was told my specific opener was not compatible. My advice... get the model number from your opener and give the F2P folks a call. They'll be able to tell you if it should work for you.
Jason

I bought a waterproof switch (IP65 SPST) and zip tied it to my handle bars. I ran wires down to under the seat and soldered the wires to the circuit board in a key chain sized garage door opener. Then just Velcro-ed the opener under the seat where I can change the battery in it once and a while. This way it's not actually electrically connected to the bike.

I'm impressed with your skills, John. Unfortunately, I'm sorely lacking in the electronics area so, I'll be throwing money at it. But I'm sure that your suggestion will help someone out there on the forum or get you started in a new business.
