It's with great pride (or stupidity) to announce that the not-so-new baby has arrived in my garage and after a visit by Dr. Leo, proclaimed reasonably healthy. Yes, I bought back my 1984 R65LS which took a 5 year break from me when I sold it to neighbors. They had it stored in a nice dray garage so other than the speedometer needle now being broken off (it was doing the needle wag when I sold it to them), it's not too bad for wear. They didn't ride it much which is why I wanted to get it back. The prescription is for
1) get the carbs cleaned out again
2) put on a new rear tire
3) either get the speedo fixed (not sure since the needle is toast) or find a working or workable one
I'll get to lay claim to a legitimate membership in the Airheads now!
