European CLASSIC Motorcycle Show

During the Four Winds BMW riders rally, there will be a European Motorcycle show. With the two classes, years up to 1969 and 1970 to 1985. If you are planning on attending the rally and have a European motorcycle in those years please bring your prize motorcycle. Judging of bikes will be people's choice, with 4 awards. It will be held in the blue pavilion. So those bringing a motorcycle may bring it any time before 2:00 on Sat. Voting cards need to be in by 5:00. Everyone attending the rally will receive a voting card in the registration packet. Come enjoy the different motorcycles and vote for your favorite. See you all at the rally.

Why not have pre 1985 and post 1985 ... There are MANY beautiful bikes that have been manf post 1985  and would certainly deserve an "award". This would allow a larger number of people to participate, that's the idea right? This is not a motorcycle show, its an antique motorcycle show. Just tossing another idea out there, I don't have a dog in the fight ether way ... I stopped doing bike shows years ago! I like to go to the various shows but don't want to leave my bike parked for hours or days. They're made to ride, not sit and polish :cheer:

I agree with Don. We are excluding 3/4's of the bikes and members this way. Maybe adding a few more classes would work too.
Just my two cents... :cheer:

Amen to both the above. Top expression is too limited. :S

Well after thinking about it, not sure best way to respond. So Here it goes, so after three, what seems to be negative comments not one positive or at least neutral. Like a comment maybe something like this ..... I know rally's right around the corner but here something I may do different (list ideas). I am glad that four winds is doing a little bike show to add something extra to the 50th rally though. And maybe say you'll bring a bike. I mean look, I have been busy this summer, and when I thought about what to do with the show which I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE. idecided on years and what title to use, so I used similar ideas to the BRITISH and European classic motorcycle show after, somebody mentioned the idea of including European bikes is well as BMW, my deepest apologies I should have used the word CLASSIC, being busy some how I missed that. They use a similar year range there's stops at 83 I stopped AT 85. With two classes I keeps it on the simple side as well. If we want to do a show next year no problem and add to the show no problem. I am doing the best I can if it is not good enough sorry, I don't know what else to say. . As far as not bikes sitting for hours, I do enjoy restoring the bikes, and proud to show it off especially when one does most of the work themselves, plus I do ride them when there's time which probably like a lot of people is limited. My goal here not to upset anyone but I felt after the comments I need to explain some things. Let's all have a good time at the rally.

I wouldn’t necessarily consider the above comments negative. They are just a mere suggestion to maybe include more bikes and more members. Everybody has a passion for different bikes, years, manufacturers, styles, you name it. We all appreciate the engineering and craftsmanship that has gone into all of these bikes. With all of the great speakers, vendors, field events, rides, it is going to be a busy fun filled rally. See y’all there.
