A few 4 Windzers are usually packin' up to head for Tellico Plains, TN to shake the winter cobwebs off! Have you seen how big this event has grown?

March Moto Madness website here

"March Moto Madness began by getting out in the spring as early as possible, packin’ up the bikes and ridin’ /campin’ with friends for a few days in the mountains of east Tennessee. Now MMM’s been an annual event in Tellico Plains since 2006 and grown to include simultaneous World Wide events in Japan, Spain, Taiwan and 2 UK sites as well as 340 riders at Mother MMM in TN. 2015 will have simultaneous rallies in even more World Wide sites."
Event Details HERE.

Been there, done not exactly that, but Tellico Plains is at the West End of the Cherohala Skyway, a beautiful ride, whose East end is not far from the well-known Tail of the Dragon. The Cherohala was also where I and the R1150RT were headed for when I got a $125 ticket (blechhh) from a cop for passing an old lady :pinch: dressed to the nines doing all of 12-15 mph :( in her Buick for miles in a curley 45 mph zone on her way to get her weekly shot of religious diddelysquat at the Baptist Crutch she pulled into shortly after the RT and I got pulled over ( I'd passed her on a Sunday Morning on a straight stretch with nothing coming--but in a no-passing zone--after I'd been stuck behind her for some miles. The cop was in an unmarked SUV with his Whizzlelight inside on his dashboard. Phooey on both of 'em!! ). However, despite the ridiculously slow woman and ticket, the Cherohala and Dragon were both great rides. I was coming back at the time from the RA rally at the Biltmore and headed for my sister's place in central TN so the Dragon and the Cherohala were both pretty much on my way to and from the Biltmore and the rally. I recommend the MotoMadness if for nothing else than the Cherohala. But don't run it too fast, I passed Yamaha bikers on it one of which had run 'way off the road and almost hit a tree from the looks of things. Besides, going too fast, one would miss the surrounding beauty of the place!
