TOPIC: 2008 Royal Enfield Iron Barrel Motorcycle for sale

Bike has a bit over 6900 miles on it. Excellent Rubber. This is one of the original later 5 speed Iron Barrel RE Bullets--the historic bike. It includes a couple of upgrades: it has a single seat & rear fender rack (with OEM seat that goes along with it), and shorty muffler (engine breathes easier--but original muffler etc. goes along with it). Also included are the Owner's manual, an after market maintenance manual and parts manual for this bike. It's a great starter bike, or a terrific bike for tooling the back roads and canyon carving--but NOT an interstate bike. It doesn't like speeds much over 60 and chortles along nicely at 55. It WILL do 75 tops, but doesn't like it much. I'm asking $3000 for the bike with all the goodies, but will be happy with any reasonable offer. Reason for selling: I need room in the garage. Unfortunately, neither. But I think I might have gone for the one with the radial--looks like they cadged that engine off Lindbergs' Spirit of St. Louis! What's taking the RE's place is an '89 R100RT. They're the ones with the windshield that's about as good in the rain as the old Vetter Windjammer! This picture off the 'net kinda looks like it.

Congratulations on the sale, I was certain the RE was going to a new home pretty fast ... it's a beautiful well taken care of machine! I would have been all over it if I had garage space myself! The new owner should be a very happy camper!!

Garage space was my problem too--none for the R100RT so one of the REs unfortunately had to go. Bringing the RT home tomorrow. ...It'll probably show up at the North Pancake (where we all mostly eat eggs) Ride with it if it's not sloppy with snow or ice out. Enjoy that Florida weather!
